If You Want To Move Cars From Once Place To Another, Flatbed Trailers Can Be Very Useful

By Barbra W. Mazon

When I entered my retirement years, I hadn't spent as much time building up my savings as I should have, so I required some extra income, which eventually led to me needing to look at flatbed trailers. Basically, my son had been running a small auto transport company for a while and asked if I wanted to work for him, moving cars from place to place as requested. This opportunity appealed to me because I had a truck with solid hauling capacity and I enjoyed being on the road.

I didn't have a trailer, though, so I headed down to the local used car lot to see if they had anything available. I was in for disappointment, however, as they didn't have a single trailer available. I looked on Craigslist and found something that looked like it could work, but when I drove down there to take a look at it, it was a rotten, barely held-together piece of garbage.

I was pretty frustrated at that point, so I decided to test my luck on the regular Internet. I regretted being so upset when I learned about a website that would give me exactly what I required by guiding me to trailer dealerships that had trailers available. There was one not too far from where I lived, and when I looked through their inventory, I saw some flatbed trailers that I liked and looked as if they might carry an average-sized car.

I drove up to the trailer dealership with my truck and left with a great trailer. I nearly turned around to arrange the purchase of one of the motorcycle trailers that I had seen, because I had a motorcycle that I was very fond of, but it would have cost more than I had available, and the flatbed was the key to increasing my income.

It was perhaps a week later that my son gave me a call and we got going, meaning that I had to head to the next state over, but I was so excited that I left the driveway without hitching up the trailer. After I had sheepishly gone home and attached the trailer I drove until I reached my destination and learned that my first job was to transport an expensive sports coupe that required kid gloves. Although I was a tiny bit nervous, I need not have been, as the trip had no problems and I was easily able to keep the car from any mishaps thanks to the durable build of my new trailer, which meant I would be using it for a long time.
